This seminar includes experts from across the industry, coming together to explore the Opportunity of Big Data in Automotive, driving development of in-vehicle services and leveraging stakeholder capabilities.

Discussion items:

  • What is the opportunity of Big Data for the automotive sector?
  • Can it help drive the development of new, better services?
  • Big Data automotive elements:
    • What data can be extracted via the OBD port?
    • What are key common types of data that should enable the development of services?
    • How do we define the significance of “big” in automotive (how deep does the data need to be, how many vehicles does it take to qualify as significant)
  • Technology building blocks, including the importance of cloud-to-cloud communication
  • Possible GSMA contributions in the area
