The Utilities Special Interest Group (SIG) gathers key players from utilities and smart grid companies, Mobile Operators, solution developers and vendors. The purpose of this group is to discuss technical and business requirements for a host of mobile – enabled services, such as demand response, building energy management and connectivity for renewables; as well as share existing best practices as well as the deployment of the latest mobile technologies such as remotely provisioned Embedded SIM within the utilities industry. It is planned to organise three to four face-to-face meetings per year with regular call and online communication between these meetings.
