Leading experts to feature at Mobile Connect seminars at Mobile World Congress

The GSMA is proud to announce that a variety of high profile industry figures and e-governance experts will be speaking at the Mobile Connect seminars during Mobile World Congress 2016.

The seminars, Delivering a Global Authentication Solution’ and ‘Driving Economic Growth Through Secure Mobile Identity Verification will focus on the commercial opportunity enabled by Mobile Connect and how authentication solution can drive uptake and support digital transformation of public sector governments, respectively.

‘Delivering a Global Authentication Solution’ is primarily aimed at Operators and service providers and addresses how both parties can capitalise on Mobile Connect’s launch to large scale enabled users and the commercial link between global mobile reach and identity management. The advantages of Mobile Connect will be told by experts from an Operator, service provider and vendor, with the seminar culminating in a panel discussion on how operators have worked together in India to deliver the solution to 700 million users. ‘Driving Economic Growth Through Secure Mobile Identity Verification’ will address how Mobile Connect can provide secure, reliable verification for national and cross-border services at a time when the demand for digital services, and the issue of digital identity, are greater than ever. The seminar will begin by addressing how digital identity is a key enabler for e-government services and then address the US Government’s approach to digital identity, the eIDAS Framework and the Digital Single Market in Europe, and climax in a case study of the recent eIDAS compliant cross-border authentication trial.
