Earlier this year, the Mobile for Development Impact team delivered a study on NextDrop, an M4D Utilities grantee. The purpose of the DFID-funded study was to analyse NextDrop’s engagement with two key stakeholders – end-users and valvemen – and propose recommendations to increase overall engagement and improve quality of service. The study applied advanced data analytics on NextDrop’s existing transactional data. Qualitative and quantitative research was also conducted. Three routes forward were envisioned for NextDrop and recommendations were developed for each.
