Building the digital agriculture ecosystem of the future

The GSMA AgriTech programme supports equitable and sustainable food supply chains that empower farmers and strengthen local economies. Smallholder farmers are an integral part of our food systems, producing more than 30% of food globally. However, they remain financially excluded and increasingly vulnerable to changing climate patterns affecting their yields.

With our activities, we are closing the gap between the need for social impact and equitability in the food supply chain, and commercial interests of stakeholders in the agriculture sector. We stimulate digital innovation to strengthen the ability of farmers to prepare for, resist and adapt to the consequences of climate change. We inform donors and investors on the operational and business models that have the highest potential for impact and sustainability and forge partnerships for innovation, inclusion and scale.
