One of the most exciting showcases involves its use in Etisalat’s Virtual Mall, the stylish virtual shopping experience which displays lifelike, 3D representations of products through an interactive video wall. Mobile Connect’s attributes sharing mechanism are used by the Virtual Mall to support intelligent suggestions as to what each shopper might like to buy. By using Mobile Connect, customers do not need to repeatedly enter their delivery address, shopping preferences or other personal information

The UAE-based operator also exhibits the power and flexibility of Mobile Connect in their Mobile Connect for Health demonstration. Here, connected clothing is used to track the wellness and performance of an individual which is then relayed to Etisalat’s Wellness Portal, which can be viewed by the athlete, coach, healthcare professional or friend as required. Mobile Connect is used to approve access to the Wellness Portal, using 2 factor authentication Mobile & PIN.

Identity management & security of data is essential for health related services and has been the subject of discussion in the health sector for many years. This demonstration highlights how mobile connect can enable digital health services by enhancing security and giving the individual control of who has access to their data’
