Isabelle Mauro
Head of External Affairs
Isabelle joined the GSMA in 2000 and is responsible for developing and strengthening the GSMA’s relationships and cooperation with governments, intergovernmental organisations and other stakeholders. Previously, Isabelle was the Director of GSMA Europe. She also has several years’ experience as a public affairs consultant in Brussels specialising in the field of telecommunications and audio-visual policies. Isabelle has a degree in Modern Languages and a Master’s Degree in European Politics and Policy from the London School of Economics. She was an Erasmus scholar at the Fachhochschule of Cologne and at the Università di Torino.
Belinda Exelby
Director, Public Policy
Belinda joined the GSMA in 2007 and works on developing and maintaining the GSMA’s relationships with governments and international institutions, including the ITU and the OECD. Previously, Belinda was Project Marketing Director for the Public Policy team at the GSMA, a role to which she brought more than 15 years’ experience in marketing within the ICT industry. She holds a BA in French and linguistics from the University of Exeter.
Joanna Maberly
Government Events Manager
Joanna is responsible for the organisation of the GSMA’s government events, in particular the Ministerial Programme. She also manages other events with governments, including the Mobile Money for the Unbanked leadership forum, Mobile Health government forum and additional regional seminars and workshops. Prior to joining the GMSA, Joanna worked as a speech pathologist and holds a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Hon) from the University of Queensland.
