The second Mobile’s Green Manifesto 2012 outlines the positive impact of the operator initiatives in energy and carbon management. An update on the 2009 report, it highlights the initial results from the GSMA’s Mobile Energy Efficiency (MEE) initiative as well as progress around mobile’s enabling role.

Developed with the support of The Climate Group, this manifesto sets out how the mobile industry plans to lower its greenhouse gas emissions per connection, and demonstrates the key role that mobile communications can play in lowering emissions in other sectors and industries. It also makes specific policy recommendations for governments and the United Nations Climate Change Conference.
