Accreditation
The RCS IOT and accreditation process was started by the GSMA in order to improve the quality of testing, increase transparency, drive scale, minimize complexity and accelerate time-to-market (TTM) of RCS-e services.
The best way to ensure standardised RCS-e compliant services on the market is to establish the service mark compliance/certification process which is a part of the IOT process. Usually accreditation processes are too heavy and slow, caused by a need to provide and analyse traces for each solution that goes through the IOT process. To maximize the synergies between providers and vendors and in order to accelerate TTM the accreditation process was designed as a self-accreditation process.
If you would like to perform the self-accreditation process please follow these two simple steps:
Step 1. In order to properly perform the self-accreditation process please download and review the following clarification document Self-accreditation Handbook
Step 2. If you have successfully finished the self-accreditation process and would like to submit the self-accreditation declaration form (s) please visit the following link Declaration.
Please note that the GSMA request you to sign the declaration form and send back to the GSMA. Until the GSMA get the signed declaration form the status of accreditation on the webpage will be ‘Awaiting for formal declaration’. Please use the following self-accreditation declaration forms:
Self-accreditation declaration form for Operators
Self-accreditation declaration form for RCS-e client manufacturers
NB: The GSMA will take one week to validate the test results and update the accreditations list on the webpage.
The current technical specification for RCS-e and test cases matrix tool can be found here. This specification was approved on the 16th December 2011 and the deadline for retesting mandatory requirements is the 16th June 2012.
Licensees will be informed on availability of changes in RCS-e specification on the GSMA website and by email. Nevertheless licensees shall take the responsibility on revision of those changes and must ensure that their device/platform remains compliant.
For the self-accreditation process you may be required to have additional information. Please find all the main data below (to access certain sections of this information you need first to sign the License Agreement). If you need more information please contact us.
