Mobile World Congress 2017 Seminar: eSIM – a New SIM for a New Generation of Connected Consumer Devices
January 4, 2017 | Jean-Christophe Tisseuil
The GSMA has now released the second version of its global specification that enables Remote SIM Provisioning in any consumer device. This enables the device to be provisioned with more than one operator profile, which will extend the specification to a wider range of devices beyond the single companion device enabled by the first release of the specification. Now device manufacturers and operators will be able to offer consumers the ability to select the operator and the device of their choice, and then securely download that operator’s profile to their device.
Join this Mobile World Congress seminar to:
- Learn more about the latest technology driving the next generation of connected consumer devices forward
- Hear from key ecosystem players, device and SIM vendors, and mobile operators
- Discuss how eSIM technology will evolve in the next 5 years
Time: 5pm – 6:30pm on Tuesday, 28th February 2017.
Location: GSMA Seminar Theatre 1, CC1 at Mobile World Congress 2017
