The pay-as-you-go (PAYG) solar industry uses an innovative model to provide customers access to electricity in remote areas while allowing them to pay for it incrementally using mobile money. However, this model depends critically on technical integrations between mobile operators and PAYG providers, which can be long and costly.<\/p>\n<p>The Instant Payment Notification (IPN) Hub is a utility created by GSMA to bridge two fast growing industries.
