The mobile industry was the first sector to commit to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Having unified behind this one common purpose, we declare our intention to transform lives and protect our planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Industry Purpose<\/a> \u201cConnecting Everyone and Everything to a Better Future\u201d and commitment to the SDGs, is an opportunity for our industry to speak with \u2018one voice\u2019, and to \u2018lead from the front\u2019, in narrating the positive story of how mobile is driving measurable, positive change. Increasingly, consumers and policymakers expect business leaders to think beyond profit, and for companies to have a positive impact in society. By collectively speaking on the mobile\u2019s ability to deliver value to society we hope to positively impact the industry reputation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the number of mobile users continues to increase at a fast pace in Kenya, demanding more and better services, mobile network operators in the region want to ensure that every customer, both young and old, enjoys the transformative benefits of mobile technology in a safe and reliable environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consumer trust is an important element in building a sustainable business and has been on a steady decline over the past five years. There is a new era emerging in which the intangibles of reputation underscore political, social, and economic change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To achieve this goal, operators have decided to join forces as an industry and take on a series of commitments so that the mobile phone and mobile networks can provide various solutions to social problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The We Care campaign works hand in hand with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, becoming a vehicle for the GSMA Africa mobile industry to make its contribution at a local level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
