Japan is one of these pioneering countries with its mobile operators, NTT DOCOMO, KDDI and SoftBank all deploying commercial 5G services on the 25th, 26th and 27th of March 2020, respectively. With the fourth greenfield mobile operator, Rakuten Mobile, expected to commercially launch 5G services this month based on its unique approach to network deployment, 5G is expected to play a key role in accelerating the digital transformation of consumer and enterprise sectors across verticals and the wider economy in Japan.<\/p>\n<p>The GSMA with the support of MIC Japan is holding the 2nd APAC 5G Leaders\u2019 CxO Virtual Summit, Tokyo Japan on 7 &#8211; 8 October 2020.
