In a supply-constrained market like India, where over 300 million people are poised to become new internet users, optimising energy usage is crucial. The group explored the potential of AI to optimise energy consumption, particularly in areas like GPU usage and base station sleep modes.

The High Cost of AI and the Path to Sustainability<\/strong>
While the cost of AI has decreased significantly in recent years, it remains a significant challenge. The roundtable participants discussed strategies to make AI more cost-effective while addressing sustainability concerns. This includes leveraging network as a service and ensuring scalability in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

The Role of Government in Promoting Responsible AI<\/strong>
The group emphasised the importance of government policies in promoting responsible and beneficial AI usage.
