El foco del encuentro consisti\u00f3 en analizar c\u00f3mo puede Am\u00e9rica Latina adoptar las m\u00e1s recientes innovaciones y, a la vez, mejorar y expandir el uso de tecnolog\u00edas existentes para acelerar la transformaci\u00f3n digital de los negocios y las sociedades.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c5G, por supuesto, traer\u00e1 una mejor experiencia de entretenimiento, pero tambi\u00e9n avances en la lucha contra la demencia, la soledad y otros problemas relacionados con la salud mental, as\u00ed como en educaci\u00f3n y capacitaci\u00f3n\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3 <strong>Mats Granryd, Director General de la GSMA<\/strong>, en la apertura del evento. \u201cCuando combinamos el 5G con inteligencia artificial, Internet de las Cosas y Big Data, las posibilidades de la conectividad inteligente son realmente ilimitadas. Sin embargo, para hacer realidad esta conectividad, necesitamos un marco regulatorio apropiado para la era digital\u201d, advirti\u00f3. El ejecutivo mencion\u00f3 cuatro puntos clave que deber\u00edan ser contemplados en dicho marco: liberaci\u00f3n oportuna de espectro bajo las condiciones correctas; aprobaci\u00f3n de la consolidaci\u00f3n para impulsar inversiones manteniendo una competencia efectiva; reglas equivalentes para los proveedores de servicios digitales -es decir, un campo de juego parejo para operadores y empresas de Internet-; y pol\u00edticas internacionales armonizadas sobre privacidad y protecci\u00f3n de datos.<\/p>\n<p>La conferencia inaugural, presentada por <strong>Javier Pi\u00f1eiro, Head of Latin America, GSMA<\/strong>, cont\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n con presentaciones magistrales de J<strong>avier Jim\u00e9nez Espri\u00fa, Secretario de Comunicaciones y Transportes de M\u00e9xico<\/strong>; <strong>Carlos Slim Domit, Presidente del Board de Am\u00e9rica M\u00f3vil; y Gabriel Contreras, Comisionado Presidente del Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones (IFT)<\/strong>. American Tower, AT&amp;T, IFT, Ericsson, Telef\u00f3nica, SBA Communications y la Secretar\u00eda de Comunicaciones y Transportes de M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n<p>El mi\u00e9rcoles, la conferencia principal estuvo dedicada al poder de los datos y la automatizaci\u00f3n, c\u00f3mo generar confianza en la econom\u00eda digital, y c\u00f3mo impulsar la agilidad de negocios en medio de la transformaci\u00f3n digital. Participaron oradores destacados de AT&amp;T, Cisco, Ericsson, Facebook, Google, Korea Telecom, Nokia y Telecom Argentina, entre otros.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mobile 360 \u2013 Latin America<\/strong> ofreci\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n un variado programa de talleres, reuniones y actividades especiales, entre las que se destacaron el encuentro de <strong>Latin America Strategy &amp; Innovation Forum<\/strong> y una <strong>mesa redonda sobre diversidad de g\u00e9nero<\/strong> en la industria de la tecnolog\u00eda. Tambi\u00e9n tuvo su lugar, por segunda vez en una conferencia Mobile 360 Series, la <strong>Zona de Startups 4YFN<\/strong> (Four Years From Now), en la que exhibieron sus soluciones startups locales. Adem\u00e1s, tuvo lugar la Plenaria 48 en la que sesionaron los cuatro Grupos de Trabajo de GSMA Latin America: <strong>Regulatory (REGU), Technical and Terminals (TECT), Security and Fraud (SEGF) y
