At\u00e9 mar\u00e7o de 2023, oito pa\u00edses da Am\u00e9rica Latina tinham lan\u00e7ado servi\u00e7os 5G comerciais. A previs\u00e3o \u00e9 que o n\u00famero de liga\u00e7\u00f5es 5G cres\u00e7a de forma cont\u00ednua, ao longo dos pr\u00f3ximos dois anos, e que esse crescimento se acelere na segunda metade da d\u00e9cada, \u00e0 medida que novos mercados 5G entrem em opera\u00e7\u00e3o e que as redes existentes ampliem sua cobertura para novas \u00e1reas. A ado\u00e7\u00e3o do 5G superar\u00e1 o 2G at\u00e9 2024, 3G em 2026 e 4G em 2029. At\u00e9 2030 o 5G ser\u00e1 respons\u00e1vel por aproximadamente 60% do total de conex\u00f5es na Am\u00e9rica Latina.<\/p>\n

A velocidade de ado\u00e7\u00e3o reflete o alto grau de interesse dos consumidores no 5G. De acordo com uma pesquisa da GSMA Intelligence<\/a>, quase dois ter\u00e7os dos consumidores na Am\u00e9rica Latina pretendem migrar para o 5G. Cerca de 30% das pessoas ouvidas na regi\u00e3o n\u00e3o t\u00eam certeza se ir\u00e3o efetuar essa atualiza\u00e7\u00e3o, enquanto apenas 7% afirmam que n\u00e3o pretendem migrar para o 5G (o valor mais baixo entre todas as regi\u00f5es do mundo).<\/p>\n

Tamb\u00e9m h\u00e1 um sentimento positivo em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao 5G entre as empresas latino-americanas. A pesquisa da GSMA Intelligence<\/a> mostra que, na regi\u00e3o, empresas de todos os setores consideram novas tecnologias – como 5G, redes privadas, IoT massivo, edge e fatiamento – determinantes para avan\u00e7ar em suas transforma\u00e7\u00f5es digitais. Al\u00e9m disso, o n\u00edvel de interesse por essas tecnologias est\u00e1 alinhado com o avan\u00e7o do 5G em mercados como o dos Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n

Desbloquear o potencial do 5G requer medidas pol\u00edticas para apoiar o investimento na rede e melhorar a acessibilidade dos servi\u00e7os digitais para os consumidores.
