As pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas e as iniciativas conduzidas pelo governo no \u00e2mbito do plano Vive Digital foram protagonistas nesse processo. O plano Vive Digital prepara o pa\u00eds para o longo prazo em termos de economia e melhoria da vida de seus cidad\u00e3os. O objetivo da primeira fase foi promover a cobertura e a ado\u00e7\u00e3o da banda larga em todo o pa\u00eds, tanto do ponto de vista demogr\u00e1fico e geogr\u00e1fico, como socioecon\u00f4mico. As operadoras de redes m\u00f3veis, incentivadas por esta agenda digital, tamb\u00e9m contribu\u00edram com investimentos de US$ 9 bih\u00f5es em redes e espectro radioel\u00e9trico, desde o in\u00edcio da d\u00e9cada.
