Apesar dos avan\u00e7os registrados nos \u00faltimos 25 anos, a Am\u00e9rica Latina continua sendo uma das regi\u00f5es mais desiguais do mundo, superada apenas pela \u00c1frica Subsaariana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nesse contexto, o relat\u00f3rio analisa como a expans\u00e3o da conectividade m\u00f3vel impactou a pobreza, a desigualdade e o bem-estar socioecon\u00f4mico no M\u00e9xico e no Brasil, os dois maiores mercados m\u00f3veis da regi\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O estudo utiliza o m\u00e9todo de diferen\u00e7as em diferen\u00e7as (DiD) para estimar o impacto causal da implanta\u00e7\u00e3o das redes m\u00f3veis 3G e 4G sobre diversos indicadores socioecon\u00f4micos. Os resultados mostram impactos positivos sobre gastos, renda, pobreza e desemprego, especialmente em munic\u00edpios mais vulner\u00e1veis, rurais ou remotos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As conclus\u00f5es destacam o papel transformador da conectividade m\u00f3vel na acelera\u00e7\u00e3o do desenvolvimento socioecon\u00f4mico e na redu\u00e7\u00e3o das desigualdades.
