El evento de alcance global, organizado por la UIT en conjunto con el IEC y la ISO, cont\u00f3 en esta edici\u00f3n con el apoyo del Gobierno de la Provincia de Santa Fe y la Universidad Tecnol\u00f3gica Nacional.<\/p>\n<p>El evento convoc\u00f3 a m\u00e1s de 300 delegados de distintos pa\u00edses pertenecientes al sector privado, como operadores y empresas proveedoras de tecnolog\u00eda; el sector p\u00fablico, representado por funcionarios nacionales y provinciales de Argentina y otros pa\u00edses de la regi\u00f3n; y el sector acad\u00e9mico relacionado con las nuevas tecnolog\u00edas e infraestructuras. A lo largo de la jornada se debatieron temas como los desaf\u00edos para el desarrollo de ciudades inteligentes, los esfuerzos de articulaci\u00f3n p\u00fablico-privada para incentivarlas, los est\u00e1ndares que soportan la infraestructura y los casos de aplicaci\u00f3n de las TICs a la infraestructura inteligente.<\/p>\n<p>La GSMA estuvo representada por Alejandro Adamowicz, Director de Tecnolog\u00eda para Am\u00e9rica Latina, quien particip\u00f3 de un panel sobre \u201cTendencias tecnol\u00f3gicas y casos de uso\u201d. Junto con \u00e9l, disertaron referentes de empresas privadas como Nokia; el sector p\u00fablico, representado por el Gobierno de la Provincia de Santa F\u00e9; y acad\u00e9micos de la Universidad de Messina (Italia) y la India. El debate vers\u00f3 en torno al impacto de las nuevas tecnolog\u00edas de conectividad IoT, Big Data e Inteligencia Artificial en la creaci\u00f3n de aplicaciones para ciudades inteligentes.<\/p>\n<p>La GSMA trabaja con operadores m\u00f3viles y gobiernos para acordar un enfoque com\u00fan para las soluciones de ciudades inteligentes que brinden beneficios reales a largo plazo para empresas y ciudadanos. \u201cNuestra iniciativa proporciona una variedad de recursos que orientan a los gobiernos, planificadores de ciudades y proveedores de servicios digitales en su b\u00fasqueda de implementar soluciones para crear ciudades que sean verdaderamente inteligentes\u201d, explic\u00f3 Alejandro Adamowicz durante su ponencia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDe acuerdo con nuestro enfoque, el ecosistema m\u00f3vil tiene un rol fundamental en el desarrollo de ciudades inteligentes, precisamente a trav\u00e9s del uso de Internet de las Cosas (IoT), para el que la GSMA viene apoyando y promoviendo el uso de est\u00e1ndares de las redes m\u00f3viles como LTE-M o NB-IoT. Estos est\u00e1ndares aseguran escalabilidad, compatibilidad con soluciones preexistentes y una mayor seguridad, que es un tema que preocupa tanto a operadores como a los gestores de las infraestructuras urbanas\u201d, a\u00f1adi\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>En la actualidad hay m\u00e1s de 1.000 despliegues y proyectos de ciudades inteligentes en todo el mundo. De acuerdo al \u00faltimo reporte \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsma.com\/about-us\/regions\/latin-america-and-the-caribbean\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Mobile-Economy-2018-ESP.pdf\">La Econom\u00eda M\u00f3vil: Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe<\/a>\u201d de la GSMA, las conexiones IoT se van a multiplicar por 4 en Latinoam\u00e9rica hasta el 2025, donde alcanzar\u00e1n 1.300 millones.<\/p>\n<p>Adamowicz a\u00f1adi\u00f3: \u201cLa conectividad es muy importante en el desarrollo de una ciudad inteligente, pero la gesti\u00f3n de los datos obtenidos a trav\u00e9s de las redes es el elemento diferenciador. El manejo de estos permite aprovechar al m\u00e1ximo la informaci\u00f3n recogida para favorecer la toma de decisiones, sea en tiempo real &#8211; en la gesti\u00f3n del tr\u00e1fico urbano, por ejemplo- como a largo plazo -en soluciones de cuidado del aire o de sanidad-\u201d. Por \u00faltimo, hizo referencia al documento \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsma.com\/about-us\/regions\/latin-america-and-the-caribbean\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/IoTGuide-ESP-NOV-DIG.pdf\">Ciudades inteligentes e Internet de las Cosas: c\u00f3mo fomentar su desarrollo en Am\u00e9rica Latina<\/a>\u201d, que contiene una serie de recomendaciones sobre legislaci\u00f3n y articulaci\u00f3n de esfuerzos entre operadores y gobiernos a nivel nacional y local. El material revisa aspectos como el tratamiento de los proyectos con una visi\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica de largo plazo, la creaci\u00f3n de asociaciones p\u00fablico-privadas para asegurar el
