Paramos numa loja para comprar uma l\u00e2mpada nova e fizemos uma liga\u00e7\u00e3o com o objetivo de pedir ajuda para poder decidir a melhor cor e modelo antes de chegar ao caixa. Nesta loja, utilizamos cupons de desconto que fizemos o download via telefone celular no momento de pagar a conta.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-5545\" title=\"gemaltolte4g\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gsma.com\/about-us\/regions\/latin-america-and-the-caribbean\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/gemaltolte4g.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"262\" height=\"131\" \/>H\u00e1 alguns poucos anos, um dia assim \u2013 com conex\u00e3o m\u00f3vel &#8211; n\u00e3o seria poss\u00edvel. Afinal, os servi\u00e7os requeriam uma grande quantidade de dados e uma resposta instant\u00e2nea s\u00f3 podia ser prevista por um computador ligado a uma rede fixa em casa. Nesta \u00e9poca, os telefones m\u00f3veis estavam limitados apenas a uma conex\u00e3o de internet de baixa capacidade. Gra\u00e7as \u00e0 evolu\u00e7\u00e3o das redes m\u00f3veis, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel navegar de qualquer Smartphone ou tablet num ritmo superior do que nos fornece uma banda larga.<\/p>\n<p>O \u00faltimo elo desta evolu\u00e7\u00e3o de redes m\u00f3veis \u00e9 a 4\u00b0 gera\u00e7\u00e3o. Neste contexto, vale destacar a LTE (Long Term Evolution), cujo padr\u00e3o j\u00e1 tem sido selecionado pela maior parte das operadoras m\u00f3veis, com o objetivo de transferir os usu\u00e1rios das atuais redes CDMA EVDO e 3G HSPA para uma internet m\u00f3vel de alta velocidade.<\/p>\n<p>As instala\u00e7\u00f5es e lan\u00e7amentos desta tecnologia j\u00e1 est\u00e3o acontecendo na Am\u00e9rica Latina e os pa\u00edses maiores como M\u00e9xico, Brasil, Col\u00f4mbia e Chile v\u00e3o se beneficiar durante o ano de 2013.<\/p>\n<p>De acordo com a 4G Am\u00e9ricas, LTE \u201cchegar\u00e1 a velocidades de download de at\u00e9 100 megabits por segundo (mbps) e velocidades de carrega de mais de 50 mbps\u201d, com uma tecnologia baseada no protocolo de internet (IP) e que pode se apoiar em outras tecnologias como a WiFi e Femtoceldas para conseguir uma cobertura total. Para fazer um comparativo, a m\u00e9dia nos lares da Am\u00e9rica Latina \u00e9 de 10 mbits por segundo para uma conex\u00e3o fixa \u00e0 Internet e compartilhada por v\u00e1rios usu\u00e1rios. Por este motivo, com a LTE, mesmo tendo uma velocidade final de 30 mbps, haver\u00e1 uma mudan\u00e7a not\u00f3ria e significativa no tipo de aplicativos e tarefas que o usu\u00e1rio m\u00f3vel poder\u00e1 acessar via celular.<\/p>\n<p>O mapa de redes LTE est\u00e1 crescendo no mundo inteiro. De acordo com a Global Mobile Suppliers Associations (GSA), atualmente existem 163 redes comerciais em 67 pa\u00edses. Desde o norte da Europa, Estados Unidos, Oriente M\u00e9dio e \u00c1sia, as operadoras m\u00f3veis tem adotado a tecnologia. A Gemalto apoia em grande parte estes lan\u00e7amentos comerciais. As operadoras m\u00f3veis t\u00eam um beneficio imediato ao adotar esta tecnologia, j\u00e1 que a LTE conta com uma arquitetura eficiente que permite baixos custos de opera\u00e7\u00e3o, com servi\u00e7os de dados mais econ\u00f4micos.<\/p>\n<p>De acordo com a Ovum Research, \u201ca import\u00e2ncia desta tecnologia pode ser observada quando se considera que a quantidade de assinantes da banda larga m\u00f3vel crescer\u00e1 perto de 1000% at\u00e9 2014 e ter\u00e1 mais de 2000 milh\u00f5es de usu\u00e1rios, gerando lucro anual de US$137,000 milh\u00f5es\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>A instala\u00e7\u00e3o da tecnologia LTE representa uma mudan\u00e7a importante e um investimento significativo para as operadoras m\u00f3veis, j\u00e1 que todos os elementos da rede m\u00f3vel precisam ser modificados ou substitu\u00eddos totalmente. Os diferentes fornecedores de cada elemento de uma rede LTE, desde a infraestrutura interna, antenas, telefones e servi\u00e7os, oferecem solu\u00e7\u00f5es confi\u00e1veis e eficientes para se ter redes funcionando num per\u00edodo curto de tempo. Na Gemalto, contribu\u00edmos com a LTE desde a cria\u00e7\u00e3o de suas normas, modificando o elemento que liga o usu\u00e1rio de maneira segura.<\/p>\n<p>O chip SIM evoluiu e agora conta com uma conex\u00e3o de alta velocidade para as plataformas de suporte baseado no protocolo de Internet HTTP. Desta forma, as configura\u00e7\u00f5es e aplicativos necess\u00e1rios para gerenciar a conectividade est\u00e3o sempre atualizados. Da mesma forma, a plataforma para o gerenciamento remoto (OTA) evoluiu e voc\u00ea pode se conectar ao cart\u00e3o SIM por meio de HTTP e atualizar seu conte\u00fado.<\/p>\n<p>Para novos aplicativos, como o NFC e M2M, isto permite contemplar casos de uso que h\u00e1 algum tempo n\u00e3o seria poss\u00edvel realizar por utilizar mensagens curtas (SMS). Estes aplicativos permitiram as operadoras m\u00f3veis abrir novos mercados nos campos de e-commerce e pagamentos m\u00f3veis, telemetria e controle, nos quais os aplicativos poder\u00e3o ser descarregados de forma segura dentro do chip SIM ou do seu perfil modificado inteiramente, caso seja requerido de maneira imediata.<\/p>\n<p>Muitas aplica\u00e7\u00f5es novas e usu\u00e1rios ser\u00e3o beneficiados com a chegada das redes LTE, n\u00e3o apenas para divertimento, mas tamb\u00e9m em outros itens como a telemedicina e pagamentos m\u00f3veis. Isto tornar\u00e1 as nossas vidas mais seguras e com aplicativos mais confi\u00e1veis.
