Casi la mitad de la poblaci\u00f3n de la regi\u00f3n cuenta hoy con una suscripci\u00f3n a internet m\u00f3vil. Aunque este porcentaje es menor que el total de suscripciones m\u00f3viles en la regi\u00f3n <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsma.com\/about-us\/regions\/latin-america-and-the-caribbean\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/report-content_latam_shift_local-8-ES.pdf\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-14619 size-medium alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gsma.com\/about-us\/regions\/latin-america-and-the-caribbean\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/REPORTE06.-229x300.png\" alt=\"REPORTE Connect Society La importancia del contenido\" width=\"229\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.gsma.com\/about-us\/regions\/latin-america-and-the-caribbean\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/REPORTE06.-229x300.png 229w, https:\/\/www.gsma.com\/about-us\/regions\/latin-america-and-the-caribbean\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/REPORTE06..png 320w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 229px) 100vw, 229px\" \/><\/a>(48% versus 69%), se espera que la penetraci\u00f3n aumente a 66% para el a\u00f1o 2020 dado el r\u00e1pido crecimiento que est\u00e1 experimentando.<\/p>\n<p>La mayor barrera de acceso a Internet m\u00f3vil para los no conectados es la falta de relevancia de internet, especialmente de <strong>la ausencia de contenido local<\/strong>.
