The first day had a <strong>GSMA LA Regulatory &amp; Fraud working group <\/strong>meeting, where there were representatives of 15 mobile operators from 9 countries of the region.<\/p>\n<p>Tom Phillips, Chief Regulatory Officer of the GSMA, opened the sessions that focused on discussing issues like: <strong>net neutrality<\/strong> (with presentations from Tigo Colombia, Entel Chile, Oi Brazil and Antel Uruguay), <strong>handset theft<\/strong> including the proposal of Colombia in CITEL, <strong>regulation of roaming<\/strong> and an update on <strong>spectrum<\/strong> (situation of the AWS and 700 MHz bands in Latin America).<\/p>\n<p>Finally, in an open session the ITU introduced the work they are undertaking in the region and Cullen International presented a comparative view on infrastructure sharing.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the GSMA carried out an open session for its members, that counted with the participation of Fran\u00e7ois Rancy, Director of the ITU Radiocommunication Bureau. After this, there was GSMA Members\u2019 Spectrum Seminar where there were keynote presentations from Richard Marsden, Vice President of NERA Consulting, Drs. Raul Katz and Ernesto Flores as well as representatives of Ericsson and Qualcomm.<\/p>\n<p>Among the activities organized, there was a dinner which was attended by Diego Molano Vega the<strong> Minister of the TICs<\/strong> of Colombia, Brahima Sanou,<strong> ITU<\/strong> Director of the Development Bureau, David Perez Taveras, President of <strong>INDOTEL<\/strong> , Maryleana Mendez, President of <strong>SUTEL<\/strong> and Cristian Lizcano, Director of the <strong>CRC<\/strong>, among others.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The presentations made at the REGF group in Armenia, are available\u00a0at Infocentre (REGF Group).<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The GSMA Regulatory &amp; Spectrum Week in Armenia, Colombia was carried out on 19-22 September at ITU GSR\/GILF meeting.
