“Mobile Network Usage in Latin America” is the first in a series of GSMA reports aimed at contributing to the regional discussion on fair share with data and evidence.
This initial report from GSMA Intelligence provides a snapshot of mobile traffic in Latin America for 2024, by company and type of content, both at the regional level and broken down by countries and/or subregions.
The most striking conclusion of the study is that three companies —Meta, Alphabet (Google), and TikTok— generate more than 70% of mobile download traffic in Latin America. Meta accounts for nearly 50%; Alphabet contributes 14%, and TikTok, 8%.
