This was launched on 14 May in Amman, Jordan under the patronage of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA). It was aimed at addressing future challenges of the ICT sector, as well as possible solutions in this regard.<\/p>\n
The opening speech was delivered by the TRA Director General, H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, He highlighted the importance of future foresight using modern tools of innovation and analysis, for the aim of safe sailing in tomorrow\u2019s world, as well as anticipating developments and preparing for the future.<\/p>\n
There was also representation from senior executives from the two United Arab Emirates operators. Various presentations were delivered by:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Dr. Chaesub Lee, Director of ITU Standardisation Bureau presented on \u2018The Future of Telecommunications\u2019.
\n\u2022 Mohamed Al Ramsi, Executive Director Regulatory Affairs, TRA-UAE presented on \u2018Regulatory Framework 2030\u2019.
\n\u2022 Khalifa Al Shamsi, Chief Strategy Officer-Etisalat Group presented on \u2018Futuristic Vision\u2019.
\n\u2022 Arnold Gutmann, Executive Partner, Gartner presented on \u2018Technology Trends in GCC\u2019.
\n\u2022 Ammar Hamadien, Head of Strategic Engagement MENA from the GSMA presented on predicting \u2018The Future of Telecommunications\u2019.
\n\u2022 Shi Li, CEO Huawei UAE presented on \u2018Unfolding the Industry Blueprint of an Intelligent World\u2019.<\/p>\n
This Forum comes at a critical stage in the development journey of the UAE, as the work is being done in various sectors to transition towards a new era characterized by sustainability, happiness, and reliance on digital technology and advanced science.<\/p>\n
The Forum reviewed the transition of the eGovernment to the Artificial Intelligence Government, and the national objectives in this regards, as the UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence aims to achieve 100 per cent reliance on Artificial Intelligence in services and data analysis by 2031.<\/p>\n
The Strategy also aims to provide 100 per cent of the front line services to the public through Artificial Intelligence by 2031. It also aims to integrate Artificial Intelligence in the medical services in the country by 2031.<\/p>\n
