eSIM is a global specification by the GSMA which enables remote SIM provisioning of any mobile device. eSIM now allows consumers to store multiple operator profiles on a device simultaneously, and switch between them remotely, though only one can be used at a time.<\/p>\n

The GSMA MENA team held an online forum titled ‘Accelerating eSIM Adoption in MENA’, to hear from representatives of industry leaders about recent developments in eSIM technology and markets, globally and regionally and also discussed the potential role for the GSMA in MENA to support industry efforts.<\/p>\n

The forum agenda included:
\n\u2022 A briefing by Jean Christophe Tisseuil, Head of SIM Programme, GSMA, on global Technology developments.
\n\u2022 A presentation by Pablo Iacopino, Director of Ecosystem research, GSMA Intelligence, on eSIM Market developments.
\n\u2022 A presentation by Idemia on eSIM deployments models and data protection.
\n\u2022 A presentation by Jamal Alshahri, GM. Enterprise Enablement, STC, on KSA national platform.<\/p>\n
