Dr. Ali Taha Ko\u00e7 is the Chief Executive Officer of Turkcell, the only company in T\u00fcrkiye that is dual-listed on both the NYSE and Borsa Istanbul, serving more than 43 million customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Mobile Telecommunication Operators Association of T\u00fcrkiye (m-TOD) and a board member of the International GSM Association (GSMA), Turkish electric car manufacturer TOGG, and Siro, which develops energy storage solutions for automotive and non-automotive use in T\u00fcrkiye and the surrounding markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Born in Ankara in 1980, Ko\u00e7 completed his undergraduate studies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bilkent University in 2001 with a full scholarship. He later pursued advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas, also with full scholarships, earning both his master’s and doctorate degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ali Taha Ko\u00e7 began his career at Intel in the United States in 2006 as an R&D engineer. During his tenure, he achieved notable success, developing 61 patents, publishing 23 scientific papers, and leading several international projects. In 2013, he was acknowledged as one of Intel\u2019s top 10 patent-developing engineers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2014, Ko\u00e7 returned to T\u00fcrkiye, where he assumed key governmental roles, including Chief Counsellor to the Prime Ministry and Head of Information Technologies at the Presidency. Among his significant contributions was establishing the State Information Coordination Center within the Presidency\u2019s Security Policies Department, streamlining critical information flow between ministries and security units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2018, he was appointed as Head of the Digital Transformation Office, driving T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s digital agenda and serving as a board member of T\u00fcrksat Satellite Communications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
