In addition to the advice provided in other sections of this site, the following points can help you stay secure when using your mobile:
- Always select a password or PIN values that are difficult for someone else to guess and always keep these values secret. Passwords should, where possible, be at least six characters in length, and should preferably contain a mix of letters, numbers and punctuation characters. Should you suspect that your PIN or password is no longer a secret you should change it immediately.
- Always read carefully any security prompts that are displayed by your phone and ensure that you fully understand them before deciding how to respond to them.
If you believe that your voicemail has been accessed in an unauthorised manner, contact your service provider’s customer service team immediately.
