Digital Transformation in Mining and Energy in the 5G era

Digital Transformation in Mining and Energy in the 5G era

Start: Tuesday 17 January 2023 15:00

End: Tuesday 17 January 2023 17:00

Venue: Online (GMT+8)

According to BCG’s Digital Acceleration Index (DAI). the metals and mining industry is 30% to 40% less mature digitally than other similar industries. The mining industry continues to face multiple complex challenges, from uncertainty across geopolitical landscape to the disruption of digital economy, resulting in increased pressure as productivity in operation needs to improve. Besides, safety is critical in all mining operations. Workers underground are exposed to a wide range of risks, from explosions to structural failures, gas poisoning, and extreme heat and humidity levels. This creates opportunities for leading mining companies to be early adopters and break away from the pack.

This virtual event will bring together mobile, mining and technologies specialists from mobile network operators, regulators, and enterprises from the APAC 5G Industry ecosystem. Topics include:

  • Overview of mining in the post-pandemic era
  • How mining can be transformed in the 5G era
  • Successful examples
  • Panel: Discuss how we can accelerate the digital transformation in mining with policy, technology, ecosystem and partnership area
