Accelerating Digital Transformation and Networks – by GSMA DX Acceleration Forum

Start: Thursday 30 June 2022 15:00

End: Thursday 30 June 2022 17:00

Venue: Online (GMT+8)

The telco sector plays a critical role in driving digitization across organizations, industries, and the wider economy. However, the sector can also unlock significant value by going through its own process of digital transformation. This virtual seminar on ‘Accelerating Digital Transformation and Networks’ will focus on the approaches telcos are taking to digitally transform their internal functions, cultures, processes, services, networks and more.

Digital transformation is understood by many to involve one or more of the following approaches:

  1. the provision of new digital services or platforms
  2. a focus on enabling technologies,
  3. network digital transformation programs
  4. functional and cultural transformation approaches; and
  5. the digital adaption of business processes to enhance customer engagement

Rather than focusing on approaches to the digital transformation of specific processes, the best strategies start by gaining a holistic view of the desired outcomes from the digital transformation project. This is necessary because the most successful strategies acknowledge that there are interdependent building blocks that must work in harmony to drive real change in the telco sector.

This virtual seminar will bring together executive speakers and panelists from pioneering MNOs and ecosystem players to share their insights and experiences related to accelerating the digital transformation of the telco sector across several areas. Topics covered, will include:

  1. How the mobile industry is embracing digital transformation
  2. The role of 5G in driving network digital transformation
  3. Using O-RAN to unlock increased flexibility in mobile networks
  4. Examples of digital transformation strategies from leading MNOs
  5. Strategies for transforming traditional MNOs into digitally integrated service providers
