Julian Gorman
Head of Asia Pacific, GSMA
Julian is the Head of Asia Pacific for the GSMA, leading a highly experienced cross-functional team to advance the impact, growth, and sustainability of digital economies by collaboration between the mobile industry, policymakers, and ecosystem. He is a global telecommunications executive with over 20 years of commercial and marketing experience across Wholesale, Business, Regulatory, Policy and Digital Transformation. He has pioneered new digital partnerships and business units in mature and emerging markets across Africa, Europe, Australia and Asia with industry leaders including Vodafone, MTN and Ooredoo. As an advisor to management executive teams and Boards, he has extensive insight and relationships to support collaboration and delivery of industry alignment.
He has been recognized for his leadership in digital innovation, digital women, health and agriculture services with industry awards and grants.
Julian has degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Law from Australia.

Dennis Xiao
President of Carrier Business Group, Huawei Asia Pacific Region
Mr. Xiao Zhendong (Dennis) is the President of Carrier Business Group, Asia Pacific region of Huawei Technologies. In his current capacity, he is responsible for the overall carrier business and strategic management of the company in the Asia Pacific Region. Mr. Xiao has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Since joining Huawei in 1999, Mr. Xiao has served various managerial positions including the company’s Belarus Country General Manager and President of Southeast Asia Carrier Business Group.

Lena Ng
Chief Investment Officer, AMATA
Lena currently acts as the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for Amata Corporation Public Company Ltd. and oversees Smart Cities development, Urban Transformation, Strategic Investments and Mergers & Acquisitions. She is the Chairperson of Investment Committee for China’s Belt & Road Initiative for Greater Mekong Sub-region. She is also the Chairperson/ Director of Amata Thai-Japanese Co. Ltd, the Joint-Venture company for Hotel Nikko Chonburi and Director of Amata Global Pte Ltd in Singapore. Lena was honored as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in March 2014 and nominated as a Global Agenda Council Member of World Economic Forum. She is also an Enterprise Advisory Council Member of Bridge Alliance, a leading mobile alliance of 34 premier Telco operators serving over 800 million customers.
Prior to her current appointments, she was also the Chairperson (Audit Committee) and Board Member of the Singapore National Paralympic Council. Lena was a former Singapore Diplomat (Commercial Attaché) based in Thailand and Director of IE Singapore, an agency under Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry. She won the MTI Borderless Award in 2010. Lena also worked at British Telecom and Standard Chartered Bank. She is an experienced speaker and judge in many international fora such as the World Economic Forum, World Bank Conference, HKTDC Belt and Road Forum, Asia Pacific Supply Chain Forum, ASOCIO, Mobile World Congress and Microsoft Imagine Club.
With more than 25 years of public policy and international investment, Lena’s expertise has been tapped for developing key Nation-wide masterplan and G-to-G collaboration platforms. These include Singapore-Thailand Enhanced Economic Relationship (STEER), Singapore-Tianjin Eco-city FDI Promotion, Singapore-Guangzhou Knowledge City FDI Promotion, Singapore-World Bank Infrastructure Collaboration, APEC E-Commerce Taskforce and Singapore Logistics Masterplan.

Dr. Pietro Borsano is the Faculty member responsible for Entrepreneurship and Core Business at the newly-established School of Integrated Innovation, Chulalongkorn University (the oldest and #1 University in Thailand, according to QS and THE Impact rankings), where he is building an innovation ecosystem and grooming Thai and international students to strive as the next generation of entrepreneurs and corporate digital transformers in Southeast Asia.
His professional experience spans across academia, management advisory, and law practice, in both Europe and Asia. He is a fellow of the Innovative Teaching Scholar Programme (Stanford University) and of ELI Asia| Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation Executive Development Programme (Babson College)

Dustin has a history of delivering global key-note speaking engagements, high-level industry and client presentations, and has regularly featured in leading business and technology press, national TV broadcasts and webinars.

Peter Maquera
Senior Vice President for Enterprise Group, Globe
Peter Maquera is the Senior Vice President for the Enterprise Group at Globe Telecom Inc., providing ICT services to the top corporations and international companies doing business in the Philippines. Peter concurrently holds executive and director positions in Globe Telecom International Business Holdings, Caelum Pacific, Inc., Third Pillar, and Yondu.
Prior to joining Globe, Peter was Deputy CEO and Director of LiveIt Investments Ltd., Ayala Corporation’s holding company for its investments in Business Process Outsourcing. He served as a director on the boards of LiveIt’s portfolio companies, Stream, Integreon and IQBackoffice.
Peter continues to serve as a director of AffinityX.
Before LiveIt, Peter was CEO of SPI Technologies and COO of Lighthouse Partners, Inc.
Peter completed his studies in the US with a B.S. in Engineering and an MBA from the University of Southern California.

David Turkington
Head of Technology, APAC, GSMA
David Turkington is the Head of Technology for the GSMA Asia Pacific. David is responsible for driving the technology direction of the GSMA across the APAC region and working with its membership to execute key technology initiatives. Prior to joining the GSMA, David held senior positions in companies including Pixel Networks, Ericsson, SmarTone, Nokia and British Telecom. David is a Chartered Engineer and member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

Jeanette Whyte
Head of Public Policy, APAC, GSMA
Jeanette is Head of Public Policy, APAC at the GSMA. Her role entails providing public policy support for mobile network operators on telecoms, data privacy, spectrum policy, IoT, 5G and competition policy.
Before joining the GSMA Jeanette ran a Telecoms Media and Technology consultancy firm where she led a wide range of projects including development of fixed broadband strategies and business plans for mobile operators across Asia: China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Macau, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea Sri Lanka and Thailand.
Jeanette is a former British Telecom Director where she held senior roles in the areas of strategy, portfolio management, product development, Merger& Acquisition and IT.
Jeanette graduated from Loughborough University in the UK with a BSc (Hons) in Management Sciences. She is a Sloan Fellow with an MSc from London Business School and has a post graduate Diploma in Marketing from the UK-based Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Jason Chiu
Chief Executive Officer, Cherrypicks
Jason is the founder and CEO of Cherrypicks, a regional leader in smart city, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, eWallet and location intelligence. Cherrypicks’ goal is to make cities smarter. With leading UX solutions and disruptive patent-pending products, Cherrypicks has represented Hong Kong and China on many world stages to win over 100 local and international awards. The early entrepreneurial journey of the company was featured as a Harvard business case (#N9-807-106). In 2014, Cherrypicks was strategically acquired by a China-headquartered, HK-listed Internet powerhouse, NetDragon (HKSE:777).
Jason is an IT industry icon who was named “Young Industrialist of Hong Kong 2014” by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) and “Outstanding IT Person of the Year 2014” by eZone. He currently serves as the Chairman of Hong Kong Startup Council of FHKI and is a Director of Venture Partner at a number of startup co-working spaces, incubators and accelerators including The Mills Fabrica, Helix Blockchain Accelerator, Mind Fund and Zeroth.ai. Jason is an active mentor and angel investor for a number of founders and their startups in Hong Kong, Korea, Finland and Silicon Valley. He is also the Vice-Chairman of Innovation and Technology Fund – General Support Programme Vetting Committee, a Council member of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), a co-convener of the HKTDC Belt and Road & Greater Bay Area Committee Smart City and Digital Connectivity Task Force and a Fellow of The Hong Kong Institute of Directors.

Daisy Zhu

Daisy is the VP of Wireless Marketing, Huawei. She leads the marketing strategy and operations across Huawei wireless products and solutions. She has 18+ years of wireless R&D and marketing experience. Prior to her current position, she was the CMO of Huawei 5G solution.

Dr. Somyot Kaitwanidvilai
Associate Professor, Dean of School of Engineering, KMITL
Dr Somyot Kaitwanidvilai received his Ph. D. Degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in 2005. Currently, he works at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) in the Department of Electrical Engineering and is the Dean of School of Engineering, KMITL.
His research interests include artificial intelligence, robotics technology, new generation communication and smart manufacturing. He also serves on the Advisory Board in Thailand IoT association, and on a number of committee boards in many societies in engineering and education. In the past, he was the Executive Vice President in Research and Innovation responsible for all activities in the research of KMITL as well.

Ming Ching Chai

Ming Ching is the 5G & Private Network Practice Lead, Enterprise Practices of Maxis, paving the path for Malaysian businesses to realize 5G and Private Network benefits. She is a senior telecom professional with prior specialization in IoT, delivering best in class the IoT Managed Connectivity and Solutions to Enterprises in Malaysia since 2014 and over 10 years of technical expertise in network planning and technologies.

Sam Majid
Chief Technology and Innovation Officer, MCMC
Recognised for his track record in Digital Transformation for business growth, Sam is a Business Technology leader with vast international experience in driving innovative growth across a diverse range of landscape including transportation, utilities, logistics, telecommunications and Government. At the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Sam is responsible as the Chief Technology and Innovation Officer (CTIO) over the Commission’s technology, innovation vision and strategies execution for growth whilst focusing on improving technological advancement. He had bootstrapped start-ups, drives corporate innovation, a regular public speaker and gained recognition with innovation awards of IDC, APICTA and iAwards. He holds a Research Masters and Engineering Degree from University of Melbourne, Australia.

Liang Guan
CTO and Head of Optics, Rokid
Liang is CTO and Head of Optics at Rokid, where he heads the company’s technology, research, and product development. He oversees AR and AI development for Rokid’s latest Augmented Reality Glasses product line and was instrumental in its successful AR product launch and production. Liang is currently focused on ongoing research in Augmented Reality Optics and development of Rokid’s proprietary AI and AR technology.
Prior to his current appointment, he was leading the technical team at a smart motorcycle helmet company to develop the world’s first consumer-level, AR helmet with a head-up display and a 180-degree rear camera view. He was listed as the first inventor of modern AR motorcycle helmet patent.
Liang also worked at a world-known optical company where he led a wide range of projects including NASA, HHMI, Next-generation DNA, live-cell imaging, advanced semiconductor, and microfluidic applications and companies.
Liang graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ with dual master’s degrees of Physics and Optics. As a member of SPIE photonics, his research work directly aided groundbreaking Nobel Prize-Winning Research in optics for Photo-activated localization microscopy.

Fadli Hamsani
Country Digital Transformation, Schneider Electric
Fadli has more than 10 years of strong experienced to lead and manage manufacturing goals of Process Engineering, Maintenance, Industrialization, and Digitization. In 2018 he started leading DigitalTransformation and Smart factory Program Deployment for manufacturing, focusing on Digitization and Innovation solution from manufacturing shop floor to top floor and End to End Supply chain, developing new digital solution for industry, and leading new technology implementation.
Currently, he works as Country Digital Transformation and EcoStruxureprescription for Key Account and customers in Indonesia. He supports cross-selling digital solution in the country, continue driving Smart factory program deployment and leverage the business impact for country and region, leading Business development for Digital Transformation and Industry 4.0 topic within Academic, Business, Government and Community.
He is active on Consulting and Speaker on topic related to Industry 4.0, Smart factory program. He is a trainer of Industry 4.0 Transformation manager training and an Assessor making Indonesia 4.0 from the Ministry of Industry Indonesia as part of member Global Network Lighthouse Industry 4.0 by World Economic Forum (WEF).

Alfian Manullang Currently Hold 3 Senior Leader Position in Telkomsel IoT Organization. He is now Vice President Internet of Things Telkomsel, also as acting GM. Industrial IoT and Acting General Manager IoT Smart Connectivity of Telkomsel, Telkomsel is part of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk (Telkom Group) and Singapore Telecom, Ltd (SingTel Group).
Alfian has developed several connected products and services such as Connected Car Solution (T-Drive), Vehicle Fleet Management, and the first connected Motorbike solution (T-Bike) in the region, Fleet Management called Fleet Sight. He is responsible for Business Ideation, Concept to Product Development and Delivering Revenue & Profitable Growth.
Currently Focusing Industrial Sector in Manufacturing, Mining and Agriculture to transform shop floor, production with the advanced IR.4 such MES (Manufacturing Execution System), advance OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) to transform shop floor, production area to increase productivity, maintain quality and with high efficiency using the latest technology such as AI, ML, MEC and 5G technologies.
He has actively involved in TINC (Telkomsel Innovation Center) initiatives to infused external innovation through collaboration with start-up with focusing on IoT and Digital Product, in the same time launch the first Indonesia commercial LWPAN with NB-IoT in July 2018 commercial offering and has launched the first electric smart meter in South East Asia using NB-IoT with PLN DISJAYA.

Joey Hu is the Director of TD Tech IoT Sales department.
In the past decade, Joey has specialized in IoT industry. He has been involved in lots of IoT projects in multi-industry like Manufacturing, Retailing, Logistics, Sharing economy, Smart City, etc. Before the career of IoT, Joey worked as a wireless solution architect, providing design of enterprise LTE network for dedicated industry customer. Joey played a major role for the IoT ecosystem construction of TD Tech. Currently, TD Tech has more than 1000 eco-partners in 5G area.
