DX Acceleration Forum: Enabling the Metaverse: Digital ID, Fintech & Security in the Digital Ecosystem

Start: Thursday 1 June 2023 15:30

End: Thursday 1 June 2023 17:30

Venue: Online (GMT+8)

The metaverse is a virtual world that is rapidly growing in popularity and importance, and it is being enabled by a number of different technological innovations, including digital identity, fintech, and security.

Digital identity is important in the metaverse because it allows users to create and maintain a persistent online persona or avatar that can be used across multiple platforms and virtual worlds. This identity can be used to access various services, make transactions, and interact with other users in the metaverse. Without digital identity, it would be difficult to create a seamless and unified user experience in the metaverse.

Fintech is also crucial in the metaverse because it enables financial transactions to take place within the virtual world. This includes everything from buying virtual goods and services to exchanging virtual currencies. Fintech solutions such as blockchain technology and decentralized finance (DeFi) can help ensure that these transactions are secure and transparent, and can help prevent fraud and other financial crimes.

Finally, security is essential in the metaverse because it is a virtual world that is accessed by millions of users worldwide. The security of user data, virtual assets, and other sensitive information is paramount, and it requires a high level of expertise and attention to detail to ensure that the metaverse is a safe and secure environment for users. This includes everything from secure login procedures and strong encryption to advanced security protocols that can detect and prevent cyberattacks.

Overall, the importance of digital identity, fintech, and security in enabling the metaverse cannot be overstated. These technological innovations are essential for creating a seamless and secure user experience in the metaverse, and they will continue to play a critical role in its growth and development in the years to come.

This virtual seminar will bring together executive speakers and panelists from pioneering MNOs, ecosystem players and industry leaders to share their insights and expertise related to Digital ID, Fintech and Security being the necessary pillars supporting the digital ecosystem whilst enabling the Metaverse.
