The GSMA and its members believe that data privacy and security are fundamental to building consumer trust in mobile services. Protecting privacy is also a key consideration in the context of big data. Our Big Data for Social Good Initiative is founded on an approach that enables the development of critical insights while also protecting individuals’ data privacy. In addition to a Code of a Conduct to protect privacy, the BD4SG Initiative is guided by the GSMA’s foundational privacy advocacy documents:
