Seminar: eSIM – From specification to live products
The GSMA presented the 4th edition of the eSIM Seminar at Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona.
The session explored challenges in deploying eSIM and bringing devices to market. Senior managers shared case studies of market deployments covering devices to digitalisation of the user journey. A panel session focused on three challenges that need to be addressed deploying eSIM in IoT: Security, Scalability and Connectivity.

After a welcome from Jean-Christophe Tisseuil, Pablo Iacopino from GSMA Intelligence introduced a new report on eSIM growth and developments globally and in China. It includes forecasts of which device types will lead the growth of eSIM, and gives a comparison of China’s eSIM adoption compared to global adoption. The full report is available here:
