Today, the GSMA, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) and Deutsche Telekom have launched the 5G IN Digital Ecosystem Innovation Centre. The centre will supercharge 5G innovation among creators and innovators, leveraging industry expertise from partners to transform industries, drive sustainable growth and innovation, and unlock the full power of 5G. The launch comes following the joint Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the GSMA, HKSTP and Deutsche Telekom in March this year.

The launch event of the 5G IN Digital Ecosystem Innovation Centre and 5G IN Leadership Forum was held at the Hong Kong Science Park, bringing together leaders from the digital ecosystem to discuss strategies for nurturing innovation.

As 5G becomes a driver of economic growth across industries, GSMA and the partners will empower the Centre as a hub of collaboration that enables improved lab environments, showroom space, international exchange, and project co-operation. The development and evolution of technology is constantly driving social and business change and creating new growth opportunities, with the pace of change always accelerating in our increasingly digital world. As a result, all industries have an opportunity to embrace innovators and sustainable innovation in order to thrive.

“Connectivity is a global driver of innovation, and this is exactly what the 5G IN Digital Ecosystem Innovation Centre wants to accelerate.
