The future of All-IP to be explored at Mobile World Congress 2016

All-IP is the network of the future, and the GSMA’s Network 2020 programme has a crucial role to play in its development. With operators, OEMs, network vendors and other ecosystem partners all keen to identify new revenue opportunities, Network 2020 works alongside these key mobile industry players to accelerate All-IP’s progress, and enable the provisioning of secure, seamless and enhanced communications to users across the globe.

At Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2016, the programme will, for the first time, host the Network 2020 Summit. Global industry leaders and experts will unite to explore the journey to an All-IP digital world, the opportunities presented by Rich Communication Services (RCS) and the preparations underway for the establishment of 5G.

Featuring speakers from organisations such as Deutsche Telekom, Alibaba Group and China Mobile Research Institute, the summit’s first half will focus upon RCS, and discuss the opportunities that RCS is generating across multiple sectors, in addition to exploring ways in which the ecosystem can engage with value-added services.

The second half of the summit – featuring speakers from organisations including Ericsson, Intel and SK Telecom – will concentrate upon 5G: the benefits and challenges to its deployment, and how it can be leveraged to create social and economic value. Cost-effective universal connectivity and value propositions are high on the agenda, with enhanced mobile broadband, Massive IoT and critical communications all themes for in-depth discussion.

In addition to its widely-anticipated summit, the Network 2020 programme will invite attendees to experience the benefits of advanced communications through various interactive and virtual reality demos at Innovation City. As well as exhibiting a range of RCS and 5G opportunities, the programme will provide resources to assist with IP Communications launches and interconnection, and will be available throughout the event at the GSMA stand at Innovation City.

Join us at MWCS16 and discover the All-IP world that lies ahead, and how this is helping to shape the future of the mobile industry.
