RCS, 5G AND CLOUD GAMING: FIND OUT ABOUT THE FUTURE NETWORKS PROGRAMME AT MWC19 LOS ANGELES

The Future Networks programme will host a number of activities at this year’s MWC19 Los Angeles including seminars, workshops and interactive demos covering the key programme areas of RCS and 5G. On Monday 21st October, the event will kick off with the twenty-seventh edition of the GSMA RCS Business Messaging Awareness Lab held at The Jonathan Club in downtown LA. The Lab, which is sponsored by 3Cinteractive, aims to provide attendees with a thorough understanding of RCS including updates on the GSMA Universal Profile standard, the ecosystem comprised of operators, brands, technology companies and marketing companies. It will also take a deeper dive into global deployment strategies, handset adoption, customer experiences, brand trials and privacy, security and trust concerns. It includes presentations from a number of high-profile speakers and opportunities to network with key industry experts. On Day 2 we will host RCS Business Messaging Seminar at MWC Los Angeles 2019 on Tuesday, 22 October 2019, sponsored by Zipwhip. This session aims to discuss the current state of play of the RCS and the Business Messaging market including demonstrations and examples of live RCS campaigns, commercial opportunities and market potential of this platform. There will also be a number of 5G related sessions throughout the week including MWC19 Los Angeles – The 5G Era: Consumer Devices of the Future on Tuesday 22 October 2019 at 1:00 pm. This session will highlight how 5G is transforming the consumer devices market and will take an in-depth look at the next generation of hardware, chipsets and operating systems. The GSMA Telco Cloud Summit will take place on Wednesday, October 23 between 11:00am – 5:00pm. From mobile operators to startups, the GSMA Telco Cloud Summit aims to offer on the ground perspectives on 5G and the migration of telecommunication to the cloud. On Wednesday, October 23rd there will be an exclusive panel discussion session with the CTO’s of North America’s principal carriers, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile. The Future Networks programme will also showcase a number of interactive demonstrations and experiences in the GSMA Innovation City between 22-24th October including an immersive 5G 8K Virtual Reality (VR) experience with embedded rich communication services (RCS).
