The 2015 GSMA Mobile World Congress titled ‘The Edge Of Innovation’ will take place 2-5 March, located at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain. Following the successes of previous events, it will convene industry leaders, visionaries and innovators to explore the trends that will shape mobile in the years ahead. The Network 2020 Programme will showcase a number of innovations reflecting the Next Evolution of Voice within the Innovation City in Hall 3. Previously known as Connected City, the area is a focal point for visitors to experience innovative, new communication ideas and services. Plans are still being developed, but some of the concepts planned for Network 2020 include:
- ‘Enrich Calling’ – a demonstration by operators showing the smartest call you can make on VoLTE devices
- The way forward for consumers to an All-IP, natively integrated communication experience
- Various applications of LTE based services for transport and retail environments
As well as the Innovation City, we want to leverage the increased visibility Mobile World Congress will stimulate to showcase our Network 2020 eco-system partners.
