Only companies that have a legal entity in the following countries are eligible to apply: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands, UK.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ESA and GSMA will jointly review all applications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The challenges are run in partnership with ESA and accepted ideas will be guided towards the most relevant ESA programme. This includes testing NTN functionalities for future telecommunication standards expected in the early 2030s.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:30px\"><strong>Challenge 3: 5G\/6G hubs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This challenge will promote the development of hybrid 5G\/6G hubs that integrate terrestrial and satellite infrastructure. These hubs will serve as testing and demonstration platforms for TN-NTN convergence, supporting advanced use cases like autonomous transport, smart cities, and next-generation logistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These challenges increased ESA visibility in the terrestrial telecommunications community and provided many valuable prospects and contracts with industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Key Details:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Objective<\/strong>: Develop multi-functional hubs based on the European Space Agency\u2019s (ESA) model at Harwell Science Campus.
