(CWP) is a joint venture company created between Cable &amp; Wireless plc., the Governement of Panama and a trust fund for CWP employees (49% &#8211; 49% &#8211; 2%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CWP is a full service telecommunication solutions provider, offering fixed line, cellular, GRX, Internet, data and pay-phone services. CWP was the first GSM\/GPRS provider in the Republic of Panama. its Cellular services are sold under the brand +M\u00f3vil. A GSM\/GPRS 850 MHz network was commercially launched on 15 October 2002. CWP was the first Network in the world to commercially use GSM 850.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently with over 2.9 million mobile subscribers, and 50% market share. CWP\u2019s has achieved over 45% area coverage and 90% population coverage nationwide, including major airports, main cities and towns, highways and roads, country crossings and major tourist destinations.
