The launch of blue followed Fixed, Mobile and Transport Licenses granted to Camtel by the Government of Cameroon in August 2020. \u201cblue is a brand of Camtel\u2019s mobile network and its sim cards are exclusively designed for\u00a0 compatible phones with\u00a0 3G\/4G technologies. A statement from the company done on January 26, 2021. Three years on, \u201cblue\u201d has crept into the habits of mobile consumers in Cameroon with over two million subscribers already. The ten Regions of\u00a0 the country are covered by the mobile network and expansions are expected in 2025 according to\u00a0 the programme named \u201cMobile Network Expansion\u201d.
