IoT WebTalk: How Can C-V2X Create an Environment that Improves Quality of Life for Everyone?

Start: Wednesday 1 July 2020 3:00 pm

End: Wednesday 1 July 2020 4:00 pm

Connected cars are poised to not only improve traffic efficiency, the carbon footprint and quality of life, but also, and more importantly, drastically reduce the number of road deaths and traffic accidents. Bosch forecasts that by 2025, connected cars could save 11,000 lives and lead to 260,000 fewer accidents every year, while avoiding 400,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions and saving 280 million hours of driving.

C-V2X (Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything) is an enhanced 3GPP LTE standard that describes a set of technologies enabling communication messages between vehicles, infrastructure and people. C-V2X can already deliver the benefits of a connected vehicle market today by leveraging the secure and established 4G LTE network infrastructure. What’s more, with the evolution to 5G, C-V2X can scale to its full potential, delivering the societal benefits and business opportunities of the connected vehicle market at large.

In this non-technical session, leading industry experts will discuss how C-V2X can enable more efficient driving and deliver improved road safety for all traffic participants. Join this interactive online seminar to learn about:

  • The socio-economic benefits of connected vehicles for people and the environment (V2P/V2I)
  • The seamless evolution for V2X from 4G to 5G
  • C-V2X trials and use cases
  • C-V2X state of the market and deployment roadmap
