Identity Hangout: Identity management in RCS payments
A 20% decline of interest in apps usage in the US highlights customers are looking for a simpler and more conversational alternative to engage with businesses. RCS and Rich Business Messaging (RBM) can fill this gap, improving the ways in which people and businesses communicate. It provides brands with the opportunity to increase their engagement with customers by using RCS chatbots and artificial intelligence (AI). There is no longer a need to download multiple apps; instead, users gain direct access to a range of brands and services, allowing them to engage with virtual assistants in eCommerce transactions such as booking flights, buying clothes or making restaurant reservations.
Authentication, identity verification and data management are crucial to successful eCommerce transactions and payment fulfillment. Join this upcoming Identity Hangout where the GSMA will be joined by Pavan Challa, Director of Product Management at Verizon, in explaining how mobile network operators can offer customer authentication to businesses using RBM.
