Speakers

Brian Gorman

FinTech Vertical Lead, GSMA

Brian is the FinTech Vertical Lead at GSMA leading activities to enhance collaboration between the Financial Services vertical and the mobile eco-system. This reflects the strategy requested by the GSMA board to get closer to key verticals and better understand their needs.

His career includes product and commercial management in banking and mobile telecoms including O2, Lloyds and Barclays. As well as Telecomms, heading up the Digital Product team, Commerce, at Telefonica UK.

 

James Moran

Head of Security, GSMA

James Moran is Head of Security at GSMA where he supports and directs the security work of its Fraud and Security Group.

James studied law and started his professional career in the financial services sector where he participated in a range of international fora and initiatives. James has worked in fraud and security management positions in the mobile telecommunications industry since 1996.

James has collaborated with law enforcement agencies, governments, regulators, network operators and suppliers on a wide range of initiatives to protect mobile networks and their users. He has been centrally involved in developing responses to a wide range of challenges including device theft, interconnect security, security certification and vulnerability disclosure. His contributions have been acknowledged by governments and law enforcement agencies around the world.

 

Huw Saunders

Director Network Infrastructure, Ofcom

Huw Saunders has been in the Telecommunications industry for over 35 years working for equipment vendors, telco/service providers, as a consultant and, currently, is Director Network Infrastructure at Ofcom. He has in-depth and widespread experience of all aspects of telecoms services with an emphasis on policy, strategy, business development and service deployment. Due to the unique nature of the businesses he has worked for, this experience extends from consumers to the largest business customers, from both an incumbent and new entrant perspective, including services provided to and via other carriers and service providers. His current role focusses on network security and infrastructure development.

Andy Kim

PASS Platform Team Lead, SKT

Andy Kim leads the PASS Platform team at SK Telecom responsible for the development of the authentication platform in South Korea. Collaborating with banks, regulators and MNOs, Andy has led the SKT team to develop the platform to deliver social engineering voice scam solutions in response to the increased threat levels.

Sergey Khrenov

Fraud Prevention & Revenue Assurance Director, Megafon

Sergey Khrenov has been working for MegaFon since 2002. His current position is Fraud Prevention & Revenue Assurance Director and responsible for:

  • Telecom fraud detection and prevention
  • Core and radio network security
  • Customers’ protection
  • Revenue assurance

Scott Hambuchen

Chief Information Officer and EMENA Leader, First Orion

Scott serves as First Orion’s CIO and the CEO of First Orion’s EMENA region, leading all of First Orion’s technology and solution development activities from the Dubai office. Prior to joining First Orion, Scott was President of Gryphon Networks, a leading provider of telecommunication products and services. Under his stewardship, the company expanded its core focus to include business-building contact strategies and multichannel contact governance. Scott also enjoyed an 18-year career at Acxiom as a senior executive, living in London for several years as the managing director of Acxiom’s European operations.
