GSMA leads Mobile Identity session at ILoveAPIs 2014

The ILoveAPIs 2014 conference, held over three days in San Francisco, attracted an audience of over 1300 delegates from North America keen to hear from speakers from leading brands such as Expedia, EBay, Netflix, Walgreens and more, on the latest in Big Data and APIs. The GSMA hosted session, as part of the Digital Transformation Strategy track, was led by Marie Austenaa (VP and Head of Personal Data) who presented the Mobile Connect initiative as a simple digital identity solution enabled by Mobile Network Operators which utilises the inherent security of the SIM.

Marie was joined on stage by David Andrzejek of Apigee, Kevin Flores of Verizon and Ken Figueredo of More with Mobile. The panel debated the challenges of secure access to online services with the increase in frequency of access paired with the frustration of remembering multiple login details or completing lengthy registration form leading to exasperated and anxious customer experience.

The GSMA also exhibited in the Internet of Things showcase, meeting delegates from the event and demonstrating the Mobile Identity solutions in market globally.
