Digital Societies Policy Forum and GSMA Capacity Building Course

With support from the Australian Government and other partners, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the GSMA are pleased to host the 3rd Asia-Pacific Digital Societies Policy Forum 2017 and GSMA Capacity Building Course.

The forum will convene policy makers, regulators, industry and other stakeholders from the wider ICT sector to deliberate challenges and potential opportunities through cross-sector collaboration offered by digital societies in countries in the Asia-Pacific.

Please note that the Forum will be for two days i.e. 8-9 May 2017 and followed by GSMA Capacity Building Course on IoT Policy and Regulation on 10 May 2017.

The GSMA Capacity Building Course: IoT Policy and Regulation, will be  hosted by Jeanine Vos and Stefano Nicoletti of the GSMA’s Connected Living Programme. This course provides a high-level overview of IoT concepts from a mobile perspective, outlines the role IoT can play in enhancing the quality of life of citizens and explains the key differences between traditional telecoms services and the IoT world. It also discusses the implications that IoT has for policymakers and regulators. This course is accredited by the UKTA. Pre-registration is strongly recommended.
