European Parliament Adopts a Resolution on eCall: New vehicles will be equipped with eCall by 2015

The GSMA invite you to join an operator only webinar where we will explore the preparations all European operators need to undertake to comply with the European Commission’s Recommendation on support for an EU-wide eCall service.

Moderated by Francesca Forestieri, Director of the GSMA mAutomotive project. Operators actively engaged in meeting the EC Requirements will present their experiences to date and their outlook as to why this regulation is important for all.

Francesca Forestieri, Director of mAutomotive, Connected Living, GSMA

Francesca has more than 15 years’ experience across a variety of sectors internationally including Telematics Service Development, Application of Cleaner Transport Technologies and Supply Chain Management and Logistics. An expert in ICT and transportation Francesca has co-authored the GSMA white paper Connecting Cars: The Technology Roadmap (2012), and more recently she has authored the GSMA white paper Connected Cars: Business Model Innovation which examines the basic constructs of business models for telematics and infotainment services.

Nick Sampson, ETSI TC MSG Vice Chairman, Orange

fredric_liljestromNick Sampson is currently the Vice Chair for ETSI MSG, that (along with 3GPP) has been responsible for the standardisation of eCall support in mobile networks. He is responsible for wireless and core network Standardisation in France Telecom-Orange, and has been involved in the standardisation of eCall since it started in ETSI and 3GPP.

 

Andrea Sroczynski, Head of Region Germany (DACH) / Head of Global Automotive Sales, Telenor Connexion

Andrea Sroczynski has more than 15 years of telematics industry experience. Before joining Telenor Connexion she held the position of Director Europe of Business Support and System Solutions at ATX International, Inc.(Agero Inc) and is member of the WG15 working group  defining the eCall Standards.

 

Marco Annoni, ETSI TC ITS Vice Chairman, Telecom Italia

Marco2Marco Annoni has more than 25 years experience in international R&D projects and in standardization. He is Vice-chairman of the ETSI TC ITS which, under the EC Standardisation Mandate M/453 and in co-operation with CEN TC278 WG16, is currently finalising the release of the ITS standards to support European wide implementation and deployment of co-operative ITS systems.

Cyrille has been with the Vodafone Group since 2002,  starting within Passo, Vodafone’s subsidiary pioneering automotive telematics service provision in Europe. This was followed by a number of senior roles in Business Marketing and Controlling, and in 2009 he joined the Global M2M team driving activities in the Automotive sector.
