Mobile IoT refers to low power wide area (LPWA) 3GPP standardised secure operator managed IoT networks in licensed spectrum. In particular, LPWA networks designed for IoT applications that are low cost, use low data rates, require long battery lives and often operate in remote and hard to reach locations. The market for LPWA has been growing exponentially in recent years, due to more mature technology development and fast adoption of smart city assets.

GSMA has been invited to join LPWA Americas 2017. The theme this year is “Accelerating the growth of IoT Networks”. Svetlana Grant, IoT Programme Director, GSMA will join other industry experts in the panel and share the industry point-of-view about the development and deployment of Mobile IoT.
