Drones Innovation Weekend

Start: Saturday 9 November 2019 08:30

End: Sunday 10 November 2019 16:30

Venue: John Molson School of Business, Concordia University

Location: 1450 Guy St, Montreal, Quebec H3H 0A1

The Drones Innovation Weekend is a two-day event that brings together innovators, corporate developers, students and aerospace enthusiasts to address challenges related to the integration of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) into the shared airspace. Teams compete against each other in a unique environment with the objective of developing solutions that are applicable to real-world issues.

The second edition will take place in Montreal, Canada on 09-10 November. During this event participants will have the opportunity to learn from aviation experts, network, and develop solutions that will aim to enable information and data exchange between unmanned and manned aircraft. Establishing such data provisions and exchange protocols are crucial for a unified Traffic Management System that supports an ecosystem of manned and unmanned aircraft.

Detailed Agenda

The GSMA Internet of Things team has been invited by IATA to join the event as jury and speaker to share insights about the wider ecosystem on drones and UTM.
