Amit Ganjoo

Founder & CEO, ANRA Technologies

Amit Ganjoo is the Founder & CEO of Washington DC based ANRA Technologies, a leader in integrated airspace management solutions used by commercial and government entities for managing commercial drone operations at scale.

Amit has over 20 years of aviation, telecom and wireless experience in both the federal and the commercial space. He is an engineer and a licensed pilot pursuing his lifelong passion in aviation by building and flying experimental aircraft.

As part of his pursuit to efficiently integrate drones into the airspace, Amit is a board member of the Global UTM Association (GUTMA) that supports the accelerated and transparent implementation of globally interoperable UTM systems. He is also a member of FAA’s Drone Advisory Committee (DAC) working group for UTM.

Prior to founding ANRA Technologies, Amit was co-chair for the FCC Technical Advisory Council (TAC) for 5G and IoT, which included ground and airborne autonomous vehicles. He was the Director of Engineering and Principal Architect at Ericsson, providing telecom solutions to commercial customers and the Federal Government, where he was the recipient of the Athena Award.

Deployed as part of the Expeditionary Strike Group, Amit was chief systems architect for the US Navy 4G LTE Sea Pilot, delivering a one of a kind turn-key, secure, unmanned airborne/afloat autonomous 4G LTE Network with applications to directly support the war fighter. He architected the first ever approved classified security architecture for 4G LTE in line with NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) framework, approved for operational deployment by the DoD in 2012.

Amit is an adjunct professor at George Mason University School of Engineering and volunteers at a local Maker Space in the D.C. area. He holds a master’s degree in Computer Science and Civil Engineering from Iowa State University and a Bachelor of Engineering from Punjab Engineering College.

Mildred Troegeler

Director Airspace Integration, Boeing NeXt

Mildred Troegeler is Director, Global Airspace Integration at Boeing NeXt ,a business division building the ecosystem that will define the future of urban, regional and global mobility.

Mildred leads the airspace integration regulatory strategy across the company working with regulators around the world to support and enable the safe integration of autonomous systems into national airspace with a continued focus on safety.
In 2015, Troegeler joined Boeing as the director of Technical & Regulatory Affairs in Europe. In this role, she was responsible for representing Boeing interests with all European institutions, most notably the European Commission, European Aviation Safety Agency and the European Parliament, in the areas of aviation safety, cybersecurity and unmanned aircraft systems. Previously, she served as technical and operations general manager at the Association of European Airlines (AEA). Before joining the AEA, she shaped space policies at the United Nations as a legal and policy advisor to the German Aerospace Center.
Troegeler holds a law degree with a specialization in economics and competition law from the University of Bonn; and a postgraduate Master of Laws in air and space law from the University of Leiden. She is a board member of the Royal Aeronautical Society Brussels Branch.

Xin Wang

Engineer, China Unicom

Engineer from China Unicom, Xin has been working on drones and smartphone testing. Now she is the chair of GSMA-TSG UEX working item and lead the UEX group to publish guidelins for device testing. Xin has published many patents and research papers in china telecommunication forums.
China Unicom has cooperated with GSMA DIG to release the drone case study “Ground-to-air LTE communication services for industrial drone applications” in 2019.

Tetsuya Chiba

Director European Research Office, KDDI

Tetsuya CHIBA, is Director, KDDI European Research Office.
Tetsuya is based in Geneva, Switzerland and has experience in a wide range of fields including global standardization, technical strategy, service/business development, strategic alliance with venture, corporate vision & strategy, IPR (Patent Attorney) and so on. In his 25 years or more experience in the telecommunications field, he has been engaged in the project management and the launch of businesses and services such as IRIDIUM (satellite phone communications), mobile internet, data roaming, LTE, VoLTE and so on.
Tetsuya has also engaged in standardization activities in the WAP Forum, OMA (Open Mobile Alliance), GSMA, etc. for more than 14 years. Now, he is mainly working for investigation and strategy planning of new technology/business, opinion/information exchange and communication between telecommunications carriers, and GSMA related activities including IoT, 5G, eSIM and Drones.
At GSMA’s Drone Interest Group, Tetsuya was working as a co-leader of Network Technology Sub Group and one of the editors for the GSMA documents.

Takashi Hara

Senior Manager of Innovation Management Department , NTT Docomo

In 2002, after graduating from Chiba University graduate school (Department of Intelligent Information Engineering and Science), Takashi joined NTT DOCOMO Co., Ltd. and developed World first 3G (W-CDMA) radio base stations in commercial and contributed in ensuring radio interoperability for international roaming with overseas carriers.
Since 2005, Takashi moved to Docomo Open Innovation management team, investing and leading the collaboration with cutting-edge ventures and partner companies of other industries. In 2011, he obtained a MBA from the University of Southern California (USC) and he took charge of the formulation of the mid-term vision and plan in the Corporate Strategy Department.
In 2017, Takashi took his current position, creating innovative business models with new technologies, such as machine learning, telemedicine, drones and so on. Member of the steering committee of Japan UAV Traffic Management Consortium (JUTM). Members of the Logistics Subcommittee of the Study Group on Extravisual and Third Party Flights of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, etc.

Barbara Pareglio

Senior Technical Director, Smart Mobility Lead, GSMA

Since 2014, she has been the technical lead for several areas of focus within the GSMA such as 5G, IoT, automotive, aviation and more. Looking at how to best utilise new technologies and services from the constantly evolving mobile networks, like 5G-Advanced.

Barbara is also leading several activities and communities with the GSMA members, like the activities related to smart mobility, including automotive and advanced air mobility. The latter by leading the GSMA Drone Interest Group and the Aerial Connectivity Joint Activity, to investigate and help the mobile industry to create a trusted solution for commercial unmanned aircraft. Exploring features and capabilities of 4G and 5G needed for the aviation.

Barbara has over 20 years of experience in the mobile industry. Before joining the GSMA, Barbara worked in R&D in several areas of telecommunications. She also participates and actively contributed to, several standards.
