The 10th Global Mobile Broadband Forum is hosted by Huawei along with industry partners, the GSMA and GTI. This year, the forum will be held at the Messe Zürich exhibition centre in Zurich, Switzerland, on October 15 and 16, 2019.

Discussions at this year’s forum will focus on the future of mobile connectivity, including future industry trends from the introduction of 5G, the Internet of Things, and the mobile broadband industry. Other discussion focuses will include artificial intelligence, cloud-based virtual and augmented reality, the Internet of Vehicles, and robots. These new digital technologies will create an intelligent world by building an internet of everything that includes every person, every household, and every organization.

The GSMA, key partner at this event, recently launched the ‘Beyond Connectivity’ campaign which showcases how mobile operators are delivering innovation and transformative solutions to customers across big data, machine learning, analytics, edge computing and distributed ledger technologies; going beyond just data connectivity. By building in these transformative solutions, beyond connectivity, leading IoT operators are delivering substantial benefits to their customers, driving innovative new products and services across various verticals, delivering more business opportunities – and creating a more sustainable and productive world.

In addition to this, Graham Trickey, Head of IoT at the GSMA, will take the stage and share GSMA’s vision of Mobile IoT in the 5G Era and talk through:

  • How IoT fits 5G: how as an organisation we raise market awareness and support of commercial licensed spectrum LPWA Solutions.
  • Beyond Connectivity: Our recent initiatives in promoting value added services including big data, machine learning, analytics, edge computing and distributed ledger technologies.
  • Industry Engagement: How we work with our partners to align strategy and adopt new initiatives, specifically for connected vehicles and drones.

We hope you will join us there!
